Britt developed a passion for organic food production in his early 20's. He worked in retail natural foods, wholesale distribution, food processing, as well as organic agriculture. In 1975 he manufactured and distributed organic apple juice from organically grown apples from the western slopes of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. In 1976 he owned a regional organic grain processing operation in Henderson, Colorado. Over the next 15 years he helped develop a wholesale natural foods distribution in the Rocky Mountain Region, specialty and organic crop production for the wholesale trade, as well as organic certification standards for food processing. In 1992 he started Ceres Organic Harvest, Inc. to provide certified organic semolina and durum patent flour to the pasta industry. Today the core activity of the company is still the processing of wheat and other grains from North America.

Steven Young
Executive Team Member, Board of Directors
Steven Young has worked in the natural foods industry for over 25 years and has a deep commitment to providing people with healthy choices in what they eat. Mr. Young believes an organization that works to provide organic grains to companies and healthy food to consumers should itself be healthy.

The more than 20 years experience Steven has as a communications consultant has proven to be a tremendous asset to Ceres Organic Harvest. Steven also brings the resource of three generations of grain farming in Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado.

Troy De Smet
Director of Grain Procurement
Troy brings to Ceres Organic Harvest and Organic Grain & Milling over 15 years of experience in the conventional and organic foods industries. Prior to his position as a director for Ceres and Organic Grain & Milling he worked in quality control for several grain terminal facilities in the Twin Cities, as a grain merchandiser for an Identity Preserve marketing program in Yuma Arizona, and in market development for an organic foods company in St. Paul, MN. Troy also brings to Ceres Organic Harvest resources from a generation of specialty grain merchandising and personnel development.
